Welcome to Silhouette
"ARTISTS ARE ANYWHERE"
Our vision here at Silhouette Subculture is to cultivate a creative community that inspires and supports artists. We have, therefore, made it our mission to provide accessible and sustainable resources that enable artists to utilize creative mediums while optimizing collaborative networks.
This brainchild spawns from Charleston, West Virginia and has had subtle influence in its small hometown and is now reaching to various artists both locally and beyond. We believe that potential is realized through generative action and this nothing-to-something style of artistry is manifested through fashion, music, photography, and film, as well as other forms of authentic art produced by members of the collective.
Silhouette Subculture values creativity, innovation, inclusive community, collaboration, empowerment, authenticity, sustainability, transparency, discipline, resilience, and self-efficacy.
We are aiming to reshape perspective on art and business by making it more inclusive and profitable for artists with no platform and no resources because that's exactly where the founding members come from. As screenprinters and musicians, we realized early on that there was a need for an appalachian art source capable of providing an outlet for the budding scene.
